Celebrate Recovery is a Christian 12-step ministry hosted at Centenary United Methodist Church each Sunday at 5 p.m. It is open to anyone seeking personal recovery from hurts, habits, or hang-ups. It is Bible-based and built on the hope of healing through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and fellowship with other believers. The ministry serves a wide range of issues including substance abuse, co-dependency and depression, to other problems such as alcohol abuse, low self-esteem, gambling, and other relational issues. It is a safe, confidential, non-judgmental setting seeking to share Christ's love with everyone involved.
Celebrate Recovery meets Sundays at 5 p.m. in the chapel. We begin with the time of fellowship with coffee and soft drinks.
At approximately 5:20 p.m., we have a time of worship. We sing worship songs, share the Biblical steps of recovery, pray the Serenity prayer, and hear either a person share how he or she has experienced life change, or hear a Biblical teaching on a recovery principle.
Around 6 p.m. we have a men's small group sharing time and a women's small group sharing time.
